How to add Aweber optin code into Ultimate Footer Ad
Personally I don’t like pop-up ads jumping at you from the middle of the screen screaming “take me now, baby”.
Footer ads seem to be more “polite” and not so obtrusive.
However it’s always good idea to test both and see which one brings you more optin subscribers.
Currently I see two best options on a market:
1) Ultimate Footer Ad – http://www.ultimatefooterad.com
requires mySQL database to be installed. After installation you run web-based software to create own footers.
2) Advanced DHTML Popup Pro – http://www.dpopup.com/dhtml-popup-examples.html
is a regular software you install on your computer and can create footers working offline.
Both allow to create unlimited number of footers which you may install on unlimited number of domains.
Pretty fair.
In this article I will tell how to integrate one of the most popular email marketing solutions called AWeber (www.aweber.com) into Ultimate Ad Footer.
For your convenience have two tabs of your favorite browser open:
1. Open your Aweber account, create a web form, choose “I Will Install My Form” and then “Raw HTML Version” option.
2. Go to admin area of your Ultimate Footer Ad (let’s call it UFA further).
Usually it is http://www.yourdomainurl.com/UltimateFooterAd/admin/index.php
Create a new ad or select from list a previously created one.
3. From “SELECT AD TYPE” drop down menu select “Optin”.

Fill out all neccessary fields like Ad Name, select colors, font sizes and types, choose desired template and color scheme.
Then scroll down and see the window “Optin Code [PHP-Snippet-Enabled]:”
4. Return to the tab with Aweber open and from “Raw HTML Version” highlight the code from<form method=> till ending right after </form>
Copy that piece of code.
5. Return to UFA tab and paste the code into “Optin code” window.

Scroll to the bottom and click “Create Ad”.
You are done.
6. Now return to the top and select the ad you created from drop down list.
You will get a code to place into your page immediately before tag.
That’s all. Enjoy!
7. P.S. The authors of UFA don’t warn you that Ultimate Footer Ad doesn’t work properly in Internet Explorer unless you have install UFA on each and every domain. And I found that to be not fair…
For example you have a web-site www.siteA.com with SQL database and install UFA there – no problem – Ultimate Footer shows up in every popular browser including IE.
But you also have a site www.siteB.com which doesn’t have SQL database and you don’t wanna pay for an additional one.
You are trying to use the Footer Ad created on site A, but it doesn’t show background of the right part of the footer on site B. And while it’s working perfectly in all browsers - it doesn’t show up the background in Internet Explorer.
The authors said it’s because of IE security not allowing crossbrowsing. Well… why didn’t you tell me that before I buy… that’s why I find it not being fair enough.

Thank you, works fine!
